Postcards

Here's a nerdy little confession: I used to collect postcards. I know - I'm a self-professed dag when it comes to teen obsessions. I also had a coin and stamp collection - but I'll save those stories for another day.
Anyways, I'm doing a massive overhaul of my room at the moment which means I'm cleaning just about every inch of my room (hence the dust-busting at 1am). In this process, I stumbled upon my old postcard collection - my favourite postcard is this one written in 1910. The slanting half French-half English in beautiful italic pencil is divine. There's another one that has the entire Seinfeld cast photographed with the words "No Soup For You" written beneath it. Needless to say, another favourite of mine.
And tonight, as I was sifting through all this ancient junk, I found this gem of a postcard that I didn't even realise I had. It's a plain postcard with nothing but colourful gradient shading on one side and on the other side, it reads:
"Zwischen Schwarz und Weiß gibt es mehr Farben als ein Mensch sich vorstellen kann"
which means...."Between black and white, there are more colours than the human mind can imagine."
What lovely inspiration to carry forth on my interior decorating adventure :)
